Week 10

The Densho website is mostly focused on their Japanese American families. This website provides information regarding how Japanese were treated and how they have been put imprisoned and lot of people were brutally killed some are still lost and could not found for a certain time of being. The site shows proof Newspapers in Education shows all the people that are found and relation to their life how they have survived and how they have suffered real people’s voice.

The website also shows or tells us how the Japanese have gained their right and freedom under the world war and how they have fought for their right, they also stats so many dates that are imported to Japanese American such as “Students may be familiar with the case Brown v. Board of Education in which the Supreme Court ruled that segregation in public schools was unconstitutional. They may have learned the civil rights acts of 1957, 1964 and 1968.” It also tells us how US officials and other people look at all the Asian or Japanese Americans at that time period of WWII

week 8

"Why we should care about global inequality."

We should care about global inequality because it affects our daily life experience such as effecting on everything from products, size and strength of a country, world environment.  Global inequality affects products by reducing the value of the same product in different countries and controlling over price that will affect the countries income capital. Size and strength is also controlled by the global inequality for example country like Russia, Japan, Iran are coming from bottom to top and increasing the military power while U.S.A is working on to get back to the top of the all and country like Russia and japan have more control over other nation as then U.S.A as for the world environment is global inequality control how other countries use their natural resources. It also contributes negative or positive effect in the world and we need to understand the system, where and why and who are benefiting from this kind of things. So we need to care about global inequality.

 week seven

“People like us” is a great website that has different topics about the social class differentiation. The most thing I like about are the videos such as  “how to get married with a rich person”, “fitting in the social class group” and the most that I like about and will be talking about would be  “Most likely to Succeed” because this article and video talks about how people are sorted according to their social class starting from their school most likely high school where we have this one group full of high class students and friends to each other and on the other hand the lower and middle class people. It also describes that so many people try to fit into the higher class just by going through a lot just to become friends and to keep up with one another. The article and videos also tells that the higher class are the one to succeed the most in life because they could just get into any college and school they want to and make a better future. I think this is kind of true in a way because when I went to high school. I could see this kind of social class thing going on and is still going on in college and school. Rich and higher class people tend to go straight to university and people who are middle class and lower tends to stay back and work for their survival. Get their studies from community colleges and try to move up to university by getting some loans and struggle some just lose their hope and would give up.
