Week 6

 

I think Americans today are more isolated due to technology because people are getting lazier, ignoring all the outdoor fun by staying home and using their computer chatting or surfing on web, Technologies like cellphone, computers, PlayStations are making people lame and differentiation from the real world by providing a different lifestyle. If we take an example of cellphone, it’s like one of the people basic need at these centuries. People are just ignoring the real fact or real time happening. If you go to your friend’s house and try to make a conversation with him/ her she is all busy texting, face booking, talking with other people while he/she is missing the moment of life and just talking about random things like dress, parties etc. 24 hours while it can wait. So I think we need to focus on this issue more carefully than others.

 

Nature vs. Nurture

I think Nature are something that people think happens naturally for example as on the podcast people who think men’s are more smarter than women do not want to change because they believe in Nature and it’s kind of natural, but for people who think they can make a different in the society or their social life by learning and improving such as giving women the same education and the man and comparing both equal would be being nurture.

My view on Nature is that it’s just so we could differentiate between different kind of people and things, for example people who are Asian looking are thought to be more smarter than other kind of people but in real life if we educate Asian looking people and other kind of people with the same education they both will be equally educated so I think it’s just of matter of how people are socialize by their older to think and education can be the key points on Nature Vs. Nurture.

Week 3
 Television show of BBC!!!!

The television show is really humorous as our late night shows, the shows are always intended to show funny clips and make jokes. The singer himself is try to show us how uncultured he is by giving us a gangster type of dress up wearing bandannas on his forehead and trying to sing in a different types of American accent according to people. The first time he says “America” he tries to show a higher level of people, second time he tries to show people from southern states. He also only uses the words “America” and “States” Which is mostly and highly used by people in Government agency’s such as The Navy, US Army.  But in a way he also sounds proud of his country and what they have done.

              Looking at the British view they might look American as an uncultured, un-socialized community. People always tend to judge people but here it shows how a country judges other country according to their culture or their accent.

week 2

On week two we are introduce to the different methods of research that people use to find out answer to different questions.

Question like,why people tell the truth when they are drunk?
and to find answer to such question we use different kind of research methods such as :

• Ethnography 
• Survey 
• Experiment
• Life history 
• Comparative research 
• Historical analysis 
• Comparative historical research
  All this methods have their unique way of answering different types of questions.
