Shift Happens

 

The video makes me feel so bad about all of our future. All the information it has in it is so priceless. There are lot of things that we need to make changes like the education, birth, studiers and many more. Our educational should make education easier and train students of future. We should all be trained about how the world is changing and should be given an option to make a better future. Information somewhat are making our life easier by giving us everything on our hand like sharing information smoothly, giving us and advance  information system that can help us build a good country. It is also somewhat bringing some bad changes in our life we are being more distanced from real world and getting lazy for example socializing in facebook has made us so lazy that even to pass a message we have to send it through Facebook instead of walking to our friends house. All the information that we have studied in class such as making a correct decision not thinking without any logical outcome we have to take it and think about other also and how it would affect the whole universe.

My experience reflection would be about the place I was born Nepal city called Kathmandu. Kathmandu itself being a city would fall under a urban area. When I was in Kathmandu back in 2002 the population was somewhere around 1million. It’s a huge place but still was in a good condition. When I left Kathmandu in 2002 there were 2 big malls and the highest office buildings where 3-4 levels but last time I went to Nepal on 2011, I was completely changed. The place was so crowded no open lands were near. You could see malls from your windows. I was so shocked. Kathmandu has been so polluted and all this is caused due to the over population of people. Lot of factories and industries, the unwanted waste were just dropped in the nearby river. According to the sociologist view about how place can be changed by population is true because as the population increased the demand increases so dose the pollution.

 Is Walmart good for America?

Looking at the documentary, “Is Wal-Mart good for America” I believe that there should be a fair trade in system, the producer and the retails who sell those product should have a way to bargain their price instead of the retails just not wanting to negotiate. I came up to this conclusion because watching the video about “Is Wal-Mart good for America”. I think Wal-Mart is a great company for providing low cost products but on the other had making manufacturing company run out of business is a bad thing for a country economy as shown on the video 30 million of consumer goods are coming from China as 3 million of stuff is being send back to China. I think the trading source isn’t fair for this reason. I think we should try to cut off on the trade and try to make a sale margin that would not impact the consumer nor would impact the manufacture because if manufacture plants are to be out of business every year then their employees are to run out of work and the margin for good living lie would only depend on the social security or would be depending upon government to increase it. Company like Wal-Mart should not only think about themselves and their profit margin but should think about other manufacture and companies who are competing with them and the US government should take a look and an action over to make a fair trade and set a price margin for the same products either created in US or imported from other country like China.

Filling up the task chart and going through the book and the podcast . I think mom puts lot of effort in running the family smoother then dad because if we look at the chart examples such as cooking food for the family, washing dishes, taking kids to the school, set a dinner table, go shopping and so on are done by mom and things like grass mowing and snow shovel and car repairs are only the thing that dad does and still we have more option to do it whenever we want it to happen but mom has to do it at the same time because if she refuses to do so then the family have to suffer through sleeping hungry and many other problems. So I think moms are the ones running family smoothly.
